Struggling Readers
This page is designed to give parents and students information and resources for the struggling reader. The page lists different web site that can be used to aid the struggling reader as well as gaining extra credit in Technology class.
For information on struggling readers parents and students may visit Reading Rockets. This site gives strategies to help kids who struggle with reading. The site explains why the problem exists and possible ways to help the struggling reader. Click here to visit the website for more information.
Parents and students are encouraged to create an incentive plan to increase reading. You can set up reading activities and track them here. With every score of 500 points extra credit for technology class is given.
This website has a list of fun games students can play to help increase reading through phonetics, spelling, pronouns, and much more. Students that participate and complete a game will receive extra credit points for Technology class, completion of all 9 games will result in a Technology prize. Click here to play the games!
